EPAC 2009! and other things...

Mon Jul 13, 2009, 2:17 PM
Hello! How is everyone in deviantART..?
Hope you all are doing great and having a wonderful summer!!

I can't believe that's it's been over a month since I wrote anything.... ^^;
(I really should update more often.)

Anyway, lately, I've been busy with summer classes (especially biology, which I ended getting an "A" in. which is great!!) though I ended up having to drop one of my summer classes because I couldn't understand the teacher....so now I have lots of extra time!! (which isn't such a bad thing!)

With my newly found free-time I've been doing alot of swimming :sun: (cuz it's so freaking hot here..!! I don't think there was a single day that we didn't hit 100 degrees!! :steaming: )
I've also been getting in touch with old friends...which is nice since I haven't heard from them in a while.
I also plan on going to the midnight showing of the new harry potter movie!!! so that will be fun to see!!! :w00t!:

Also, for the first time, I decided to go the El Paso Anime Convention...
( yup, there is a anime con in el paso! surprising, huh?)
Anyway, I had heard of the EPAC in previous years but never once went (cuz I was usually busy with summer school or something...) but this time I went.

It was small but still I had fun and enjoyed it!!
There was lot of different things to do at EPAC..
They had games, anime showings, and (of course) alot of people in costume!

:meow: I enjoyed the cosplayers.. and I even did a little cosplay on the first day...
but then my costume got too hot so I changed back into normal clothes.
(normal clothes were just more comfortable... though I admire the cosplayers who wore all black!! :onfire: )

There was also a small artist alley... which was nice.! :gallery:
I enjoyed walking around and just looking.. though some of the artists were hoping I would buy... (but all I got was a little Toph bookmark...)
Frankly, some of the stuff was over-priced... like one person was selling a nice rainbow scarf for 40 something dollars! (Frankly, I could get a even nicer scarf for less...)
Though I'm sure the artist had worked hard on knitting the scarf and probaly felt that it was worth the money... (but again... who needs a scarf in the summer time anyway..?!)

Anyway, the best part of the con was probly the video games...
Frankly, I love video games but I usally don't have time to play much.. plus I only have a few games. So it was nice to play something new!
My favorite game was the Soul Calibur IV...frankly I had played the previous soul calibur but I didn't get to play the new one. (makes me wish I had a X-Box360 to play it on...)
Oh! well, I still had fun playing it for the short time I was there.!

Anyway, I thought the EPAC was really fun and hopefully I'll go next year too.!

Riku: What are you making me choose now?
DiZ: Between the road to light and the road to darkness.
Riku: Neither suits me. I'm taking the middle road.
DiZ: Do you mean the twilight road to nightfall?
Riku: No. It's the road to dawn.
